Meet Our Team Members!

Colby Smith

As CCM Consulting Group’s owner/managing director, Colby B. Smith, focuses on the direction of the company and the company’s strategic plan. Colby holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University; a Master of Business Administration from the Illinois Institute of Technology and he completed an Executive Education Program at Dartmouth College.

Prior to forming CCM Consulting Group, LLC, Colby owned and operated a 250-seat call center in the North Lawndale community in the City of Chicago for 15 years.  Under the direction of Colby, the call center provided services to large financial institutions including Citibank and GE Capital and the City of Chicago.

Colby has served on several community-based boards in the North Lawndale community and received the “Supplier of the Year” award from the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council.

 

Oliver Houston

Oliver Houston is a goal-oriented operations executive with over 25 years of senior leadership and call center management experience in the government and financial services sectors. A Project Management Professional (PMP) and alumnus of Benedictine University, he serves as Vice President of Operations at CCM Consulting Group, where he oversees client onboarding, agent training, quality assurance, workforce management, and overall operational performance. He has led the implementation of AI-driven strategies that reduce costs, improve responsiveness, and enhance real-time operational visibility.
Known for building high-performance teams and fostering accountability, Oliver combines strategic vision with hands-on execution to modernize service delivery and improve client outcomes. Outside of work, he is committed to community service, coaching youth football and mentoring families in underserved communities in Chicago. He also enjoys playing the alto saxophone and creating music with his children.

Laurie Brinkley

Laurie Brinkley has extensive experience in call center quality control, risk management assessment, supervision, and training & development.  Laurie A. Brinkley is a results-driven Quality Control Specialist at CCM Consulting Group LLC with over 32 years of experience in the medical field and more than 10 years of leadership and personnel management experience. She currently supports CCM Call Center services by, providing coaching, performance oversight, and operational guidance in a fast-paced environment. With decades of hands-on experience assisting physicians and caring for patients, Laurie brings a strong foundation of clinical knowledge and customer service excellence to her supervisory role. She is skilled in team development, scheduling, payroll, and process improvement, and is committed to helping her team meet and exceed established goals through consistent coaching and support.

Laurie holds active certifications in CNA, EKG, Phlebotomy, and Patient Care Technician, reinforcing her dedication to serving the community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dogs, gardening and taking motorcycle trips
